The Lecture Committee in Kent State University’s College of Architecture and Environmental Design seeks proposals for installations of high design merit that consider the act of “practicing” through physical engagement with real material knowledge and the physical material world.

MATr PROJECT is a project created by the CAED Lecture Committee to support the conceptualization and actualization of innovative and experimental material research through fullscale making within the College. The PROJECT encourages the exploration of instances of correspondence between the material and immaterial, the real and abstract, and the ephemeral and particular.
