Jennifer Kay Jeter
Jennifer Kay Jeter is a performance artist, director, and writer from Ohio. She has worked in educational, community and professional theatre since 1980 and earned both a bachelor's and master's degree from the University of Akron where she concentrated on scenic design and performance art. Her thesis is entitled, The Rites of Being: An Analytical Review of Performance Art as a Theatrical Art Form.
Ms. Jeter first taught African Theatre Arts in the Department of Pan African Studies at Kent State University from 1995-1997 and then again in 2008-current. The African Theatre Arts Practicum is designed to fully immerse the student into the theatre production process associated with a community theatre.
