Research Interests  

Dr. Hughes' research interests are in clinical health psychology. He specializes in cardiovascular psychophysiology. In particular, his research focuses on understanding how psychosocial factors such as depression and traumatic stress increase cardiovascular risk. A secondary interest is characterizing hemodynamic regulation of blood pressure in laboratory based studies and during ambulatory monitoring.
