Welcome to the Office of Graduate Affairs

The College of Arts and Sciences has the largest and most diverse graduate programming at Kent State University. Graduate programs are offered in the natural sciences and mathematics, the social sciences, and the humanities. The Doctor of Philosophy is offered in 15 disciplines and interdisciplinary areas with 31 different concentrations. Master’s degree programs are available in 21 disciplines and interdisciplinary areas with 46 different concentrations and include degrees of Master of Arts, Master of Fine Arts, Master of Liberal Studies, Master of Public Administration, and Master of Science.

Whether you want to study the creation, organization, and use of human knowledge, belief, and behavior; understand living organisms and their organization, life processes, and relationships to each other and their environment; develop symbolic tools to understand, represent, and describe fundamental relationships; study, model, and understand natural and physical phenomena; explore the maintenance of health, well-being, and the prevention of illness and dysfunction; or understand the impacts which constitutions, legislative acts, judicial decisions, support service, voter initiatives, have at the community, regional, state, national, or international level, the College of Arts and Sciences likely has a graduate program for you.
