Thomas M. Batiuk, Medina, Ohio, is the creator of the syndicated cartoon Funky Winkerbean. Batiuk’s new book, Lisa's Story: The Other Shoe, chronicles Funky Winkerbean's main character Lisa Moore's ongoing struggle with breast cancer.
