Akron Urban League, Akron SCORE and Kent State University recently formed a collaboration to propel minority business growth in Northeast Ohio. Funding of $345,580 for two years of operation has been awarded by the GAR Foundation.

That’s why Kent State created the Division of Regional Development as an outreach arm representing the entire university. Our goal is to reach more students, create strategic partnerships in the region and match faculty expertise with community needs. We want to partner with employees, employers, entrepreneurs and communities in developing economic, organizational and employee strengths helping to create pathways to success, which, in turn, lead to the success of the entire region and state.
