Kent State May 4 Victory Bell Steve Skovensky, a Kent State student and member of the May 4 Task Force rings the Victory Bell ( in 2000)to symbolize the beginning of the May 4 Task Force Commemoration. It is also rung to acknowledge each of the 13 students wounded or killed at Kent State on May 4, 1970, and once for each of the victims of the Jackson State shootings on May 14, 1970.
