| DESCRIPTION: | The Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling prepares students for employment as counselors in community-based human service agencies (e.g., substance abuse facilities, mental health centers, child and family service agencies) as well as private counseling facilities. |

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: |
Official transcript(s), goal statement, two letters of recommendation, good moral character statement and interview. |

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS: |
The M.Ed. degree curriculum is a minimum of 60 semester hours, including a 600 clock-hour internship. A pre-practicum examination and comprehensive examination must be passed for matriculation and graduation. This program is designed to fulfill the educational requirements for licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio. The program may be pursued on a part-time or full-time basis, although some full-time study is urged. |
