- State- or federal-designated holiday
- Thanksgiving: classes recessed Wednesday noon through Sunday; offices are closed Thursday and Friday
- Columbus Day, the second Monday in October, is a movable holiday, observed the day after Thanksgiving
- Presidents Day, the third Monday in February, is a movable holiday, observed contiguous with Christmas Day
- University offices deemed non-essential operations are closed
- Spring Recess: no classes, offices are open
- Remembrance Day (May 4): final exams, classes or parts of classes recess from noon through 2 p.m.
