Scholarships for Incoming Freshmen
Kent State University offers a comprehensive portfolio of scholarships for incoming freshmen. To be considered for incoming freshmen scholarships at the Kent Campus, you must submit a complete application for admission (including high school transcript, ACT or SAT scores and application fee) by Jan. 15.
Freshmen applying after this date will be considered for scholarships if funds are available. Incoming freshmen academic scholarships are based upon academic performance, extracurricular involvement, leadership and, in some cases, financial aid as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Incoming freshmen should submit the FAFSA by Jan. 15. Scholarships do not require repayment and are often renewable if students meet specified criteria.
For more information about freshman and departmental scholarships, visit Student Financial Aid online. Use the Kent State University Scholarship Search Qualifier to determine your eligibility for additional scholarships.
