Let’s Take a Walk

See the sights, visit a dining hall and get a feel for what Kent State is really all about. Since the walking tours are led by a current student, you have an opportunity to have your questions answered by someone who knows exactly where you’re coming from. In addition, your student tour guide can steer you to the appropriate office for more detailed information on specific questions.

The tour begins with a 30-minute presentation that covers the admissions process and an overview of Kent State University.  The 90-minute walking tour follows with visits to academic buildings and residence halls, as well as the Student Recreation and Wellness Center. Invite your parents, and come for a visit!

Campus tours are just as relevant to students seeking a master’s degree or other graduate program degree. When you’re comparing Ohio’s top public universities, a campus tour can be an important piece of the puzzle.

Schedule a Campus Tour

You should try to schedule your campus tour two weeks in advance of when you’d like to come.

There are two ways to schedule a campus tour:
1. When you use our online reservation system, you will automatically be sent a printable confirmation. Be sure to print and save a copy.

2. Call the Admissions Office at 1-800-988-5368. The Admissions office will mail you a confirmation letter with a map and directions one week prior to your visit date.

College of Business Information Session

The College of Business Administration information session at 1 p.m. is for students and parents who are scheduled for either the 10:30 a.m. or 2 p.m. campus tour. Students will have the opportunity to meet with a staff member from the College of Business and learn more in-depth information about our business majors. Use our online reservation system to see available dates and to register.

Meet With an Admissions Counselor

There’s no appointment necessary to meet with an Admissions Counselor. Walk in hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Once you visit our campus, you’ll understand why more than 34,000 students choose Kent State University over other Ohio colleges and universities.
