The School of Digital Sciences is an interdisciplinary school combining elements of computer science, computer information systems, computer technology, library information science, visual communication design, journalism, communication studies, and instructional technology. It fosters a broad understanding of the digital sciences across all of these disciplines.
Digital Sciences students learn about design and how to work in teams. They study information, software, and hardware, and how it is used. In your first year, you may take a class with a journalism professor, a computer scientist, and an ethicist. Our students are the integrators, the hybrids: the students who like to work with other people doing something creative in the real world.
