Advice for Prospective Students
As a former high school counselor, I had the opportunity to learn many valuable lessons from my students as they navigated the college search process. I discovered that defining "fit" varied from student to student. Beyond making sure that a college has your major, and is affordable, some students define fit as total familiarity and comfort. Others look for an environment that will stimulate them, take them out of their comfort level, and promote personal and academic growth. Ultimately, you are the author of your own life story, and what you choose to do during your undergraduate years will be the greatest factor in determining how you will benefit from your college experience.
