An important next step as an admitted student is registering for Destination Kent State (DKS), a day and a half-long orientation program that prepares you for Kent State life. Not only will get to meet other incoming freshmen, you will also talk with an academic advisor who will help first semester freshman register for their first semester.
Transfer students with 30 credit hours or less at the time of admission will attend Transfer Kent State: Orientation, Advising and Registration (TKS) before being able to register for classes. You can check your Next Steps student checklist once your transfer credit evaluation has been completed to see if you will be required to attend. You will also receive an email notification to your personal email address from the Transfer Center with TKS registration information. TKS has a half day and a full day format and allows you to meet other incoming transfer students, meet with and advisor, register for classes and prepares you for the start of your Kent State journey.
