Who has 'required' advising?
All undergraduate students who were admitted in Summer or Fall 2012 and who are registered for classes.
Why do I have to meet with an advisor?
Meeting with an advisor can help you in so many ways. Advisors can guide you in choosing classes, deciding on a major, and providing suggestions and referrals if you are having trouble in a class just to name a few. Schedule an appointment today to learn more.
How often do I have to meet with an advisor for 'required' advising?
All freshmen and sophomore students admitted for Summer or Fall 2012 and beyond are required to meet with an advisor once per semester. Students at junior standing and beyond will be required to meet at least once per year.

· Sophomore 30-59 earned hours
· Junior 60-89 earned hours
· Senior + 90+ earned hours

Should I go to advising even if it is not 'required' for me?
Absolutely, advising is a valuable experience and tool for you to utilize throughout your academic career. Your advisor offers knowledge and skills to assist you in choosing classes, building and maintaining your GPS plan, assist you exploring internships, study abroad, and other valuable opportunities available to you.

To find your advisor log in to FlashLine at flashline.kent.edu. Click on the Student Tools and Courses tab and scroll down to the Academic Profile channel.
