Upon completion of student teaching, students finish the semester with 3 days of integrated teaching in an arts-based school.  Integration is an approach to teaching that interweaves visual art education with other subject areas to help create a richer context for learning and deepen student engagement.  Students work with a non-art faculty member to create an integrative lesson that involves concepts from art/design and another discipline, which they team-teach. Common learning goals are addressed using the national standards of each subject.
