Kim Hahn, Ph.D.
Kim Hahn earned her BS degree from Yonsei University in Seoul Korea. She earned her MA degree majoring in Textiles, Clothing and Design with an emphasis in Apparel Design and completed her PhD in Textiles, Clothing and Design with an emphasis in Apparel Merchandising. Prior to her arrival at KSU, she was an associate professor at the University of Wisconsin-Stout teaching undergraduate product development courses, advanced pattern development courses, and CAD pattern making employing OptiTex and Autocad.
Scholarly, Creative & Professional Activities
Dr. Hahn has been involved in a number of diverse research topics that range from the influences of cultural factors (Asian vs. Western) on global consumer behavior, to the factors affecting students’ performances in apparel design courses. Dr. Hahn recently received the Sandra Hutton Award for Achievement in Fiber arts in the 2010 ITAA Design competition.
