KSU Chorale Presents Fall Concert on Sunday, Oct. 28Posted Oct. 17, 2012
The Kent State University Chorale will present its Fall Concert at the Kent Presbyterian Church on Sunday, Oct. 28 at 3 p.m. The Kent Presbyterian Church is located at 1456 E. Summit St., adjacent to the Kent State University campus.
The performance will include selections from Josquin, Byrd, Monteverdi, Britten, Brahms, Hindemith and Burrows. The KSU Chorale features 30 student vocalists from diverse areas of study, including both music majors and non-music majors.
The group rehearses four days a week to master five centuries of choral literature. As the flagship choral ensemble of the University, the KSU Chorale performs on campus and throughout the region and state, touring each spring semester.
In addition to its regular concerts, the KSU Chorale is featured in the annual fundraiser "Carols & Confections," a program of holiday music followed by seasonal refreshments. This year's "Carols & Confections" will be held on Sat., Dec. 1 in Cartwright Hall.
Tickets for the KSU Chorale Fall Concert are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and free for all students. Tickets are available for purchase by phone at 330-672 ARTS (2787), online at www.kent.edu/music, or in person at the performing arts box office weekdays noon to 5 p.m. in the lobby of the Roe Green Center in the Music and Speech Building at 1325 Theatre Drive on the campus of Kent State University. The box office accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
Tickets for the Fall Concert can also be purchased at the door with cash only.
