Kent State Opera Presents "A Night in Seville" Gala Fundraiser on Feb. 5

Kent State opera students performing in Ludwig Recital Hall."A Night in Seville" is being presented by the Hugh A. Glauser School of Music's Opera Program. The event, scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 5 at 8 p.m., is the program's annual gala fundraiser and will be held in Ludwig Recital Hall in the Music and Speech Center at 1325 Theatre Drive.

Voice faculty members Marla Berg, Tim Culver, Brian Johnson, Fenlon Lamb, and Lara Troyer will be joined by featured opera students and chorus in a program focusing on four famous operas set in the Spanish city - Don Giovanni, The Marriage of Figaro, Carmen, and of course The Barber of Seville. In addition, a set of spicy Spanish songs will be performed, and more. Tickets are $25 for general admission and $5 for Kent State students with ID. Cash or checks will be accepted at the door.
