Kent State's Fashion School Hosts "Behind the Scenes" EventPosted Apr. 7, 2010
The School of Fashion Design and Merchandising at Kent State University will host "Behind the Scenes" on Friday, April 23, from noon to 7 p.m. The daylong meet and greet will be held in Rockwell Hall.
"Behind the Scenes" is specifically for prospective students who expressed interest in Kent State's fashion program and admitted students who have already been accepted to the fashion school this fall. The event will allow students to view the fashion school and learn about its opportunities.
"We want to welcome high school juniors and seniors and give them an opportunity to meet the fashion school's faculty and students, so they can get a better feel for their future at Kent State," Becca Hollis, academic adviser said.
Students will have the opportunity to tour the fashion school, visit the fashion museum, talk with faculty, meet academic advisers and interact with current students and learn about their experience in the fashion program.
Attendees will also have an exclusive chance to get the first look at "Re:Create," the annual fashion show, formerly known as Portfolio.
Tickets are $10 per person, which includes admission to the dress rehearsal of the fashion show, as well as lunch and a day full of activities. All tickets must be purchased in advance online. Tickets will NOT be available at the door and are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. Fill out this RSVP FORM to receive online ticket information.
There is a limit of 300 guests for this event. A fashion school representative will contact individuals who reserved their space to secure payment and to provide them event details.
