Thank you for your interest in auditioning for the 2014 Porthouse Theatre season. Regional auditions and callbacks have taken place. 

Information regarding auditions for our 2015 season will be posted in the Fall of 2014.

2014 Season Information

The first production is My Fair Lady.

Book and Lyrics by ALAN J. LERNER Music by FREDERICK LOEWE 

“Adapted from George Bernard Shaw’s play and Gabriel Pascal’s motion picture PYGMALION” 

Directed by Terri Kent, Artistic Director of Porthouse Theatre.

One of the most exquisite musicals ever written, MY FAIR LADY follows the transformation of Eliza Doolittle into a sophisticated and eloquent lady under the tutelage of Professor Harold Higgins. Songs include “On the Street Where You Live,” “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly” and “I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face.” 

Opening Night is Friday, June 13. 

Performances are June 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 at 8 p.m. 

June 16 and 22 at 2 p.m.

The second production is STARMITES 

by BARRY KEATING and STUART ROSS

Directed by Michael McIntosh. 
A musical for all ages, STARMITES is a high‐energy adventure fantasy in which humans and heroes discover love, loyalty, inner strength and a great doo‐wop beat as they conquer the sinister inhabitants of Innerspace. With a powerhouse score, this is a musical for everyone!

Opening Night is Friday, July 4. 

Performances are July 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 at 8 p.m. 

July 6 and 13 at 2 p.m. 

"Starmites Pro" is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC.

 

 

The third production is Oliver! 

Music, Lyrics and Book by LIONEL BART

Licensed by Arrangement with Oliver Productions, Ltd. and Oliver Promotions, Ltd. 

Directed by Terri Kent, Artistic Director of Porthouse Theatre.

Charles Dickens’ novel comes to life in this musical classic that will engage you in its pathos and drama. Featuring the outstanding musical numbers “Food, Glorious  Food”, “I'd Do Anything”, “Where is Love?”, “Consider Yourself”, “As Long As He Needs Me”, “Who  Will Buy” and “Reviewing the Situation,” you, like the title character, will be left asking formore. 

Opening Night is Friday, July 25. 

Performances July 24, 25, 26, 29, 30, 31 at 8 p.m.

Aug. 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 at 8 p.m. 

July 27, Aug. 3, 9, 10 at 2 p.m.
