Professor Roger Craik's Poem First Journey Featured in Kent State Magazine

First Journey, a work by Dr. Roger Craik, is highlighted in Traveling Stanzas

"First Journey", a poem by Kent State University at Ashtabula associate professor of English Roger Craik, Ph.D., was featured in the latest issue of Kent State Magazine (Spring 2016).  The poem, which reflects on Craik's first solo train ride as an eight-year-old boy in England, is part of the Traveling Stanzas series and is included in Craik's sixth book of poetry, Down Stranger Roads.

Traveling Stanzas is an award-winning collaboration between the Wick Poetry Center and the School of Visual Communication Design and aims to facilitate a global conversation through the intimate and inclusive voice of poetry. Featured poems are curated from global submissions and illustrated by Kent State students and alumni.

The online edition also features a video of Craik reading the poem.
