PROGRAM INFORMATION

MS and PhD Programs

Admissions into our MS and PhD programs are competitive; thus we do not offer "conditional" admission.  Since these programs are full-time, financial support is necessary.  Financial support from the department comes in the form of teaching or research assistantships. **Students do not have to have a MS degree to apply into our PhD programs and assistantships are preferentially given to PhD over MS students**

Departmental teaching/research assistantships include:
  • A full tuition waiver
  • Annual stipend
  • Money towards the purchase of health insurance
We also promote the professional development of our MS and PhD students by providing them with:
  • Travel money to conferences
  • Training in research ethics
  • Access to state-of-the-art equipment and facilities

Fall 2016 Admissions are Now complete. Our Fall 2017 deadlines are As follows.

We will be holding an Interview Weekend in February 2017. Top applicants will be invited for an interview and should plan on attending.  During the visit, applicants will interview with selected faculty members and become acquainted with the KSU campus, facilities and students from the Program.
