School of Biomedical Sciences
Welcome to the Kent State University School of Biomedical Sciences Web Site.
The School of Biomedical Sciences was founded in 1987 to provide graduate training in five biomedical science disciplines: Biological Anthropology, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Neurosciences, Pharmacology and Physiology.
The scientists making up the School's graduate faculty are drawn from various departments at Kent State University, the Northeast Ohio Medical University, the Lerner Research Institute of the Cleveland Clinic, the University of Akron and Youngstown State University.
Our world-class faculty and the outstanding research facilities available to students provide a unique and exciting environment that supports interdisciplinary graduate training and research in areas of science related to medicine.
Financial assistance is available and the School offers competitive stipends, tuition remission and subsidized health insurance.
