Kent First covers tuition expenses only. This plan is only available to Freshmen entering Kent State, Kent Campus, in the Fall semester. It consists of a one-time down payment followed by 42 consecutive monthly payments. The down payment is made by check, money order, or credit card, and the 42 payments are withdrawn from a bank account of the sponsor’s choice on the second banking day of each month. 

For example purposes only:    The Kent First Fall 2007 down payment for an Ohio Resident at the Kent Campus is $3600.00 and the 42 consecutive monthly payments are $927.00. If a student is receiving financial aid any excess will be transferred into the account from which the payments are drawn. The plan remains in effect until either the student graduates, attempts 144 hours, or after 15 consecutive sessions (counting entire summer as 1 session) has passed. The student may earn a $1,000 voucher toward graduate work at Kent State if certain conditions are met.

Kent First, nonresident, down payment of $7,200.00 with 42 monthly payments of $1,774.00 each.

Kent First Second Year Plan is available to current or transfer students with 22-65 accumulated credit hours, registered at the Kent Campus in the fall semester.  It consists of a one-time down payment followed by 30 consecutive monthly payments.  The down payment is made by check, money order, or credit card, and the 30 payments are withdrawn from a bank account of the sponsor’s choice on the second banking day of each month. 

Kent First Second Year Fall 2007 rates:

Kent First Second Year Plan, Ohio resident, down payment of $4,800.00 with 30 monthly payments of $909.00 each.

Kent First Second Year Plan, nonresident, down payment of $9,600.00 with 30 monthly payments of $1,729.00.

Kent Plus covers room and board fees for three academic years. It covers the cost of a basic 2-person double room and the standard food plan. It consists of a one-time down payment followed by 24 consecutive monthly withdrawn from a bank account payments.

Kent Plus Fall 2007 rates:

Kent Plus, down payment of $1,500.00 with 24 monthly payments of $874.00 each.
