Ran earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and Operations Management from Kent State University in 2010. During the course of his undergraduate degree, Ran enjoyed helping others as a Resident Assistant, Student Instructor, and Math Tutor. In 2009 Ran studied abroad for a semester at Shanghai International Studies University in Shanghai, China. Upon graduation, Ran worked for a year as an entrepreneur and independent contractor.

Ran has been an Academic Advisor for the Undergraduate Programs Office of the College of Business Administration since January, 2012. He work primarily with undergraduate and international students. Ran also teaches an international session of Destination Kent State: First Year Experience.
