Pamela Grimm

Academic Department Chairperson

Dr. Pamela Grimm joined Kent State University in 1992 and completed her Ph.D in Marketing, with a minor in Social Psychology, from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1993. In July of 2009, she became the Chair of the Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship.

Since joining Kent State, Dr. Grimm has taught a wide variety of courses. At the undergraduate level, she has taught Promotion Management, Marketing, Buyer
Behavior, Advertising & Promotion Management, Internet Marketing, Freshman
Orientation. At the graduate level, Dr. Grimm has taught Marketing Management,
Promotion Management, Marketing on the Internet, and the International Business Experience in the Executive MBA program, taking students to Hungary, the Czech Republic, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Belgium, Switzerland and, most recently, China.

Dr. Grimm's research interests are varied and include topics as diverse as celebrity endorsements in advertising and market efficiency. Most recently, she has worked on research examining celebrity endorsements in a political context, the impact Tiger Woods has had on the firms he has endorsed, and intrinsic and extrinsic motivation in donation behavior.
