Benjamin Hoffman
Assistant Professor
Dr. Hoffman is an Assistant Professor in the Accounting department at Kent State University, where he teaches Principles of Auditing and Control. His research focuses on auditing standards and how the stock market perceives the implementation of these standards as well as a range of auditing topics including corporate governance, auditor litigation, and audit quality. Dr. Hoffman received his PhD. in Accounting from the University of Arizona, as well as his MBA. He has an active CPA license in the state of Pennsylvania and worked as an auditor for a regional public accounting firm in Pittsburgh for four years before going to graduate school. He lives in Akron with his wife, Kara, and his two children, Eleanora and Samuel.
