Center for Information Systems

Welcome to the Center for Information Systems at Kent State University

The Center for Information Systems, in the Department of Management & Information Systems of the College of Business Administration at Kent State University, promotes cooperation and interchange with regional Information Systems Executives, KSU Information Systems Faculty, and KSU Undergraduate and Graduate Information Systems Students.

The CIS corporate members and KSU members of CIS (faculty, students, and administrators) are dedicated to improving the development, application, and management of information systems through quality undergraduate, masters, and doctoral instruction, internationally recognized research, and service to area businesses and other profit and non-profit organizations.

The Center was established by Dr. Robert D. Smith in 1986 and has a strong focus on curriculum development, especially at the undergraduate level. The 25 year anniversary was celebrated in October 2011.  Photos from the 25th Anniversary Celebration
