Deepraj Mukherjee

Assistant Professor

Dr. Mukherjee has received his Ph.D. in Business Administration with concentration in Economics from the University of Memphis. Before joining Kent State University he served as a tenure track faculty at Waldorf College, Iowa for two years. While working on his PhD he received the prestigious Barbara Tuckman Fellowship award as a doctoral student at the University of Memphis. He was also awarded national scholarship of merit by the Government of India.

The guiding principle of Dr. Mukherjee's teaching philosophy is to create a classroom environment that stimulates interest in economics, and help students in envision important factors that influence today’s economics.

His areas of specializations are International Trade and Development. His works have been published in well known peer reviewed journals like Applied Economics Letters, Management Decision, and European Business Review among others. His papers regularly get accepted at prestigious international and national conferences like International Atlantic Economic Conference, Southern Economic Association, Midwest Economic Association, and Academy of International Business. Dr. Mukherjee also contributed in the capacity of a reviewer for journals like Economic Change and Restructuring, Kyklos,and International Journal of Emerging Markets to name a few.
