Mindy Malbasa


After teaching on an adjunct basis for many years, Malbasa joined the accounting faculty full time in 2014. She is also the faculty advisor for Beta Alpha Psi and the Accounting Association. She received her B.S from Miami University and her MTax from the University of Akron. Prior to joining the department full time, she worked in public accounting for 22 years; first as a client-serving tax professional and most recently as the learning leader for tax professionals at Grant Thornton LLP. Malbasa is Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the American Accounting Association and the American Tax Association. Her teaching interests and experience include Tax at the graduate and undergraduate level as well as Financial Accounting and Reporting.
