Dr. George E. Stevens joined Kent State University in June 1995 as Professor of Management and Dean of the business school. He continued to serve as dean until October 2008. Prior to his Kent State appointment, Dr. Stevens was Professor of Management and Dean of the School of Business Administration at Oakland University from January 1991 until June 1995. In 1989-90 he served as Professor of Management and Interim Dean of the College of Business Administration at the University of Central Florida. He holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree from Kent State University. His diverse employment background includes positions as a financial analyst at Xerox Corporation; internal placement coordinator, recruiter, and as assistant to the director of employee relations at Rohm & Haas; and assistant in assessment center development at Rohm & Haas, Inc.
