As a first-year student, you have the opportunity to enhance your college experience by participating in a business learning community based on your area of academic interest. Learning communities immerse you in an environment that supports academic and professional success. The program brings you and faculty members into smaller clusters of those who have similar interests, creating academic and social support networks. We welcome students who live on campus, as well as those who commute into our community.
We have five learning communities available in Prentice Hall, also known as the Business Connections Commons:

Accelerated Bachelor of Business Admin(A-BBA) |
The program allows the completion of the B.B.A degree in three years or less (dependent on the amount and nature of post-secondary work, advanced placement and College Level Examination Program work completed as a high school student). Opportunities offered by this program include working with faculty on research projects and being mentored by faculty or business professionals. |

Community of Entrepreneurs (ACE) |
The program offers you an opportunity to connect and work with others who share your enthusiasm for entrepreneurship. The program offers access to resources that help you create your own business and expand your network across a variety of disciplines and interests. |
| Accounting Freshman Interest Group (AFIG) |
The program is designed to help you gain early insight into the accounting major and careers in accounting. Students in this program participate in specific activities tied to coursework and the accounting curricular activities. |
| College of Business Colleagues (CBC)IBUS |
The program welcomes students who have an interest in business careers and is inclusive of all business majors. You interact regularly with a program coordinator to address special programming, academic advising, career counseling and more. |

International Business Community (IBUS)
|
The program provides opportunities to live and interact among students from different cultures and learn about international business. The program also offers opportunities to learn about study-abroad experiences. |
