THERESA G. REPICKY

Theresa Repicky graduated from Bowling Green State University with a B.S. in Business Administration. After obtaining an M.B.A. from Cleveland State University in 1982, she worked for Avery-Dennison for ten years, directing several business units from a marketing and sales capacity. Later, she began assisting professionals and smaller companies in developing and executing strategic marketing and communication plans.
During the time she worked for various businesses, she became interested in how organizations, groups and individuals dealt with conflict on both a formal and informal basis, and its impact on organizational and individual effectiveness. In 2006, Theresa received a Ph.D. in Conflict Resolution and Analysis from Nova Southeastern University.
Currently a mediator, Theresa has mediated a wide variety of disputes including family, custody, visitation, community and workplace disputes. In addition, she has assisted organizations in designing dispute resolution systems and mediation programs and has conducted training programs in conflict management and mediation for communities and organizations. Theresa also serves as a long-term care ombudsman, assisting nursing home residents in resolving disputes.
Since 2001, she has taught courses at the Center for Applied Conflict Managment, including Introduction to Conflict Management, Cross-Cultural Conflict Management, Public Sector Dispute Resolution, and Mediation: Theory and Training.
