The Applied Technology option is a highly flexible program that allows a student to take courses across a spectrum of technology-related courses, curricular areas, and technical specialties.
This option provides flexibility in course selection that enables students to design a course of studies that addresses their particular needs and interests. Participants in this option work closely with the college’s graduate faculty to tailor an individualized program of study that suits their unique professional and educational goals, and can be as in-depth, interdisciplinary, or broad-based as desired.
This option is especially valuable for individuals currently working in engineering- and technology-related positions who are looking to further their education and enhance their careers. The program provides participants the flexibility to allow them to increase their knowledge and skills so that they can meet the diverse demands of technology-intensive activities associated with emerging technologies and rapidly changing fields.
Master of Technology students specializing in Applied Technology are required to complete a minimum of 33 credit hours of course work as indicated below:
Twelve credit hours of Technology core courses are required.
General Technology Courses
A minimum of 21 credit hours of coursework must be taken in TECH or AERN courses.
A cumulative graduate GPA of 3.00 is required for graduation.
