Welcome Faculty & Staff!
Career Services assists students and alumni across all campuses who need help with:
|
Classroom Support
Request a Presentation
Incorporate career planning into your syllabus and request a presentation by one of our staff members on a variety of career topics.
Incorporate Career Activities into Curriculum
Consider adding a career focused activity as a class assignment and refer students to visit our Career Resource Library or to meet with a career counselor for career research, resume critiques, interview preparation, and job/internship search assistance.
Encourage Students to Attend a Job Fair or Event
Encourage your students to attend one of our job & internship fairs and to meet in advance with a career expert to get the most out of their participation.
Invite an Employer to Class
Contact Career Services and let us locate an employer and/or alumnus who can give a presentation to your class. This is a valuable opportunity for your students to learn directly from professionals who are working in their chosen field.
Internships and Jobs
Career Services staff collaborate with faculty in a variety of ways, from locating internships and jobs relevant to students' degree programs and career aspirations, to helping campus supervisors create more meaningful experiences for student employees.
Faculty Internship Coordinators
Career Services maintains a list of Faculty Internship Coordinators who serve as resources for students seeking internships or who may have questions about academic credit. While all internships are posted on the Experience Job & Internship Board, we may forward selected opportunities to these faculty members for promotion to students.
Students @ Work Program for On-Campus Supervisors
Learn about how you can help students connect more meaningfully to work, school, Kent State and their future careers by participating in the Students @ Work program.
Forward an Internship or Job Posting
Are you aware of an internship or job opportunity for students? To maximize services to employers and increase exposure of openings to a diversity of students, refer the employer to our Employer Relations Team at cscjobs@kent.edu or 330-672-2360.
Refer Professional/Employer Contacts
Faculty often interact with employers who may benefit from our recruiting services. Let us introduce your contacts to the many ways we can assist them with enhancing their relationship with the university and recruiting Kent State students across disciplines.
