African Sky

African Sky is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit organization that creates enduring friendships between US and Malian communities to transform lives at home and abroad. As a community development organization, we work with individuals and communities to confront some of the devastating effects of endemic poverty and inequality. Our philosophy of community development is based on the belief that humanity's physical, ecological, and spiritual well-being is rooted in universal compassion and sustainable living. African Sky projects are organized according to four thematic service programs: education, community health, food security, and community arts.

Opportunities

Each year the NAACP, through generous donations, is able to provide scholarships to outstanding students. It is the duty of our dedicated Scholarship Committee to determine the most outstanding individuals to receive these awards. The NAACP does not provide financial aid to individuals, only scholarships through this process.

The application process for the 2010-2011 school year is closed. But you can view information about each scholarship today, including the requirements for next year's application here

The process will be entirely online through our partnership with UNCF and we will inform you via email when the scholarships for 2011-2012 application process begins.
