Psi Chi

At Kent State there are two groups for psychology undergraduate majors: Psi Chi and The Psychology Club.

The KSU chapter of Psi Chi, a national honor society for Psychology majors and minors, is a professional psychology fraternity for those students who have excelled in the academics of psychology. The organization hosts meetings every other week to provide opportunities for the members to learn about professions in psychology and the route to Graduate School. Currently, the organization is working to expand and focus on giving back to the community. Psi Chi recently hosted a fundraiser for The Rape Crisis Center of Summit and Medina Counties, as well as participated in the 8th Annual Walk a Mile in her Shoes. Kent State psychology affiliates donated their time and talents to help raise over $300 for the organization in an effort to raise awareness about rape, sexual assault, and gender violence.

Undergraduates must be Psychology majors or minors with a GPA of 3.0 or higher who have completed at least 9 hours of Psychology.

The deadline to turn in applications is Friday, October 18th, 2013.  All applicants need to turn in a copy of their OFFICIAL transcript along with the application (not a copy printed from FlashLine).  Please return all completed applications to the Psychology main office (144 Kent Hall). Students can obtain an application a number of ways:

1) Copies are available in the Psychology main office in 144 Kent Hall
2) Email psichiksu@gmail.com to request an application
3) Please return ONLY the application to the Psychology main office (144 Kent Hall).  We will be contacting you shortly after with an acceptance decision.  If you are accepted, there is one additional for to fill out and this is when you turn in your Psi Chi dues.
