Pre-Professional Programs

The Departments of Biological Sciences and Chemistry have developed tracks within their degree programs to prepare students for admission to medical, osteopathic, dental, veterinary medicine and pharmacy schools.

Additionally, the programs in Pre-Medicine and Pre-Osteopathy, Pre-Dentistry, Pre-Pharmacy, and Pre-Veterinary Medicine give students the necessary academic background to apply to medical, osteopathic, veterinary medicine, dental and pharmacy schools. Students making this selection declare a major in a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree program in the College of Arts and Sciences and take the courses listed in the appropriate advising program.

Students interested in these advising programs must meet with their faculty advisors regularly in order to plan their academic programs and meet the admissions requirements for specific schools they are interested in attending.
