The English minor offers students the opportunity to gain additional expertise in writing and the study of literature and language. It is an especially attractive complement to degrees in fine arts, foreign languages, history, sociology, psychology, business and journalism.

Choose one course listed in the major from the following three areas: (1) historical courses (2) genre studies, cultural studies, literary theory and (3) writing and language studies

* Any 20000-, 30000- or 40000-level English courses, excluding ENG 21001, ENG 41009, ENG 41092, ENG 41192 and ENG 41292. No 10000-level English courses may be used to meet program requirements.

Minimum 9 of the 21 total credit hours must be upper-division.

Minimum cumulative 2.000 GPA required for graduation.
