Meghan Caprez, mcaprez@kent.edu, Graduate Assistant and Team Lead
Meghan Caprez is a graduate student studying mediated and mass communication. She earned a degree in public relations with minors in business and marketing. She has served as the president, vice president of professional relations and the web and content producer of the Kent State University Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America, and she is a member of the Communication Graduate Student Association. In her spare time, Meghan is a proud season ticket holder at Playhouse Square, and she is an assistant coach for the Our Lady of the Elms High School speech and debate team. She studied abroad in London and Dublin in Spring 2015, where she studied live performance promotion (and saw four shows on West End!). In Spring 2013 and Summer 2016, she studied in Orlando, Fla., as part of the Disney College Program, and she hopes to work for the Mouse again after she graduates.

Elline Concepcion, econcep1@kent.edu, Marketing
Elline Concepcion is a senior advertising major with a minor in public relations. She is a member of Franklin Advertising and was previously involved in the Kent State University Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America. Elline calls Kent State her second home as she has been on the campus since the summer before her freshman year of high school through the TRIO Upward Bound Program. Elline participated in the Global Advertising and Public Relations course that traveled to London and Dublin, and she studied the differences in marketing to Millennials in the United States and in Europe. Elline also participated in the Washington Program in National Issues – interning at the Association of American Railroads – and gained more knowledge about the communication field and what it is like to work in Washington, D.C.

Amrita Datta, adatta2@kent.edu, Marketing/Design
​Amrita Datta is a sophomore visual communication design major. Hailing from India, she is the youngest child of a doctor and a housewife. Amrita has a passion for art in the form of drawing and painting, which led her to participate in art competitions across the globe. Her work has been on exhibit in the National Art Academy in India. After completing her high school education in India, with full support from her parents, Amrita now lives on the opposite side of the globe in the CCI Commons.

Daniel Henderson, dhende21@kent.edu, Marketing
​Daniel Henderson is a senior majoring in public relations and minoring in political science. He is a member of the Ohio Army National Guard and a Cadet with Kent State's ROTC program. Daniel is also a member of Sigma Nu fraternity. He is currently the treasurer for PRSSA Kent and has worked as a reporter and anchor for TV2 Kent. In 2015, he worked for Western Reserve PBS and later served as a press intern for U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown. He is passionate about public service and wants to attend law school after graduation, hopefully in the greatest city on earth: Washington, D.C.

Alex Ledet, aledet@kent.edu, Staff Photographer
Alex Ledet is a junior from Kent, Ohio, pursuing a degree in photojournalism with a minor in anthropology. He spent his first three semesters at Kent state working as a staff photographer and as the editor of photography for The Kent Stater. An avid traveler, Alex is taking advantage of as many study abroad opportunities as possible. Previously, he participated in Kent State’s first mobile journalism class, held in Ireland. In his free time, Alex enjoys riding and working on bicycles, reading, and listening to music.

Sarah Matthews, smatth11@kent.edu, Marketing
Sarah Matthews is a senior public relations major with an expected graduation of May 2017. In the summer of 2015, Sarah interned in Washington, D.C., with Senator Rob Portman for the first half and former Speaker of the House John Boehner for the second half. In the summer of 2016, she interned in Cleveland for the Republican National Convention within the digital department. After graduation, she hopes to work on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., for a Republican office doing communications and eventually go into lobbying.

Taylor Meade, tmeade3@kent.edu, Marketing
Taylor Meade is a senior public relations major with a minor in marketing. Taylor spent the fall of 2015 abroad in Florence, Italy, and the spring of 2016 participating in the Bateman Case Study Competition, where her team received honorable mention. This spring, she is a Digital Marketing Intern at the WTWH Media LLC in Cleveland. She hopes to work in nonprofit public relations when she graduates in May of 2017. Taylor loves everything related to "The Office," traveling and tacos. 

Natalie Pecchia, npecchia@kent.edu, Clerical Specialist
Natalie Pecchia is a clerical student worker in the Dean’s Office of CCI. Natalie is a senior fashion merchandising major with a minor in marketing from Youngstown, Ohio. She says that she is looking forward to this job because she loves helping people and is good at customer service. She also says that she is excited to work with all of the staff and faculty of CCI and can’t wait to learn more about the university.

Abigail Schroeder, aschro18_stu@kent.edu, Clerical Specialist
​Abigail Schroeder is a junior and is working toward undergraduate degrees in both fashion merchandising and marketing. She is from Toledo, Ohio, and loves to spend her summers going to Toledo Mud Hens games and visiting the Toledo Zoo. Abigail has a passion for history and fashion, and she hopes to pair the two after graduation and work with historical movies and television shows to piece together appropriate costumes for each time period. In her free time, she enjoys watching old movies and independent films with her cat, Carl.

Ty Sugick, tsugick@kent.edu, Diversity Outreach Student Assistant
​Ty Sugick is a senior majoring in journalism with a focus in broadcast. Ty also yields a minor in sports administration and plans to use both his major and minor to promote a sports radio career along with a career in mentoring teens or young adults. During Ty's tenure at Kent State, he has been a leader in student media and served on Undergraduate Student Government (USG). Ty also spent the past three years working for the WDJQ Q92 sports team as a sports broadcaster and producer. Ty plans to help the CCI diversity team and leave Kent State's campus better than when he arrived.

Charleah Trombitas, ctrombit@kent.edu, Marketing
​Charleah Trombitas is a junior public relations major with a minor in psychology. Born and raised in Ohio, Charleah loves being a Golden Flash at Kent State. Charleah recently returned from spending Fall 2016 studying abroad in Florence, Italy. She is currently participating in the Bateman Case Study Competition and is an active member of the Kent State University Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America. Last summer, Charleah interned at The Hourch Agency in Youngstown, Ohio, and hopes to decide on her career path in public relations in the next year. Though she doesn't have a dream job, she dreams of continuing to travel the world after graduation in Spring 2018. In her spare time, Charleah enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring the outdoors and reading mystery novels.

Maggie Wachtel, mwachte2@kent.edu, Marketing
Maggie Wachtel is a senior public relations major from Columbus, Ohio. She is a member of Kent State’s chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America and also represented Kent State as a member of the 2016 Bateman Case Study Competition. Maggie was a beat reporter for The Kent Stater during Fall 2015, covering Finance and Careers. She hopes to someday work in corporate public relations. Maggie is a die-hard Cleveland Browns fan who is forced to endure misery season after season. She is a coffee addict who also enjoys binge watching “The X-Files” on Netflix.

Gabrielle Woodard, gwoodard@kent.edu, Marketing
Gabrielle Woodard is a senior public relations major with minors in marketing and political science. She served as president of Kent State’s chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America during the 2015-2016 school year, and she is a member of Alpha Phi Fraternity. Gabrielle spent the spring of 2015 participating in the Washington Program in National Issues and interned in the Office of Legislative Affairs within the Federal Communications Commission. She then spent her summer in Baltimore as a communications intern for Northrop Grumman, an international defense contractor. Gabrielle hopes to pursue a career in government relations and be the next Olivia Pope.
