- CCI Launches Interdisciplinary Ph.D. Program The interdisciplinary doctoral program in the College of Communication and Information at Kent State University provides students with a broad scope of knowledge in communication and information science. The curriculum begins with core courses, then becomes more specialized to fit each student’s individual needs and interests. This Ph.D. program is a logical extension of the convergence taking place within the college and its application in the commercial and professional world.
