Support Global

First Passport Fund: For many people, a passport is a well-worn travel document. But for a student who has never left the country, a passport is the portal to a future that includes global learning, travel, adventure and personal transformation. In a very real sense, a first passport is the first step on a student's global journey. Unfortunately, the cost of a passport can be a stumbling block or stopping point for some students. This fund provides first-time passports to CCI students with a strong desire to study or intern overseas, who have a 2.5 GPA and have demonstrated financial need.

CCI Global Fund: Every semester, our students are traveling across the globe – from Ghana to China and many points in between -- to strengthen and apply their communication skills. To support students who are ready to study or intern overseas, CCI has established a fund that helps defray travel costs, including plane fare, accommodations, meals or tuition.

CCI Study Abroad Award: This scholarship, endowed by emeriti professors Gary and LuEtt Hanson, will support students who will be studying abroad.  Preference is given to students who never have been overseas prior to their study abroad experience, who demonstrate financial need, and who are in good standing in CCI.

Terell Wilson Memorial Scholarship for Study Abroad: This scholarship was created to give Terell’s mission to encourage inner-city youth to study abroad the time he did not have and is designated for the students he hoped to reach. It is the hope that students who study abroad with the support of this scholarship will honor Terell’s memory by finding their own way to further his mission and doing their part to make the world a better place. Former CCI professor Deborah Davis and former CCI Dean Stan Wearden, Ph.D., endowed this scholarship.
