Campus Environment and Operations' mission is to maintain and enhance the buildings and grounds on the Kent Campus of Kent State University. An attractive and functional University environment is created, maintained, and successfully managed by the following operations: Business and Supply; Custodial Services; Energy Management; Grounds; Fleet Services; Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC); Lock Shop; Power Plant; Preventive Maintenance; Structures; Receiving and Distribution; Occupational Health and Safety; Zone Maintenance; Plumbing; and Electric.
Comprehensive maintenance of 127 academic, athletic, administrative, and residence hall buildings is provided on a 24 hour, seven day a week schedule.
Campus Environment and Operations also maintains 916 contiguous acres of rolling hills, woods, and manicured greens. The offices of the Department of Campus Environment and Operations at Kent State University are located at 1781 Summit Street.
