Refuse Removal

 

 

Campus Environment and Operations is responsible for scheduling and maintaining the solid waste collection programs for the Kent State University Campus. The following services are provided:

  • Refuse Removal
  • Recycling

Campus Environment and Operations is also responsible for scheduling the routine removal of exterior trash dumpsters for disposal. Custodial staff employed by the university are responsible for transferring trash collected from indoor waste baskets and emptying them into the trash dumpsters located outside of each university building.

Please Note: Arrangements must be made in advance (with a minimum 72-hour notice) for special service requests, such as departmental or building clean-outs.

Special Note: Kent State University's Hazardous Waste Disposal Program is the responsibility of Public Health and Safety. Please address any questions or concerns regarding hazardous waste disposal to the Assistant Director of Health and Safety at (330) 672-3111.
