Campus Environment and Operations

Work Requests

Campus Environment and Operations' Work Request System is offered to Kent State University departments in an effort to expedite the process for requesting and tracking maintenance, repair, and custodial services for all Kent Campus buildings and grounds. Please complete the on-line Work Request Form  when requesting repair and maintenance of existing facilities and building equipment, such as door locks, lighting, heating and cooling systems. This form also needs to be completed when requesting maintenance, repair, groundskeeping, and custodial services for events that are planned through the University Scheduling or Intercollegiate Athletics offices.

Improvements and/or enhancements to Kent Campus buildings, offices, and grounds that require planning and scheduling of Campus Environment and Operations' skilled trade shops may also require approval and participation of the Office of the University Architect. Special requests usually necessitate the identification of funding for the project or service.

If there are blueprints, drawings, or information in addition to what is included in the description of work requested, please fax the supporting documentation to (330) 672-2956.  Please indicate assigned Work Request Number on all supporting documentation before faxing.

In the event of an emergency repair condition which poses immediate danger to personnel or property, (such as flooding, broken window, electrical shorts) please call (330) 672-2345, the 24 hour service telephone number.

For Residence Hall maintenance, please submit a request through the Rapid Track link on the Residence Services home page: www.res.kent.edu or contact Residence Services at 330-672-7030 during normal business hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

For emergencies or after hour/weekend requests, contact your area desk or a Resident Assistant (RA).  If unable to contact the area desk or RA, please call 2-2345.
