KSU Grants Graduate Credit to IBNA
Workshop Participants!
Beginning in the 2004-05 academic year, the College and Graduate School of Education, Health, and Human Services began to grant graduate credit to participants for workshops sponsored by International Baccalaureate North America, www.ibo.org, or their affiliates. One hour credit is available to participants in Diploma Program and Middle Years Program levels 1, 2, and 3 workshops. Beginning the 2006, credit will be available for the Primary Years Program, levels 1, 2, and 3. Kathy Brown, of KSU's Professional Outreach Department coordinates the registration of participants.
In October 2004, Dr. Kenneth Cushner and Dr. Linda Robertson presented at the Alliance for International Education, in Dusseldorf Germany. This international initiative focused on INTERNATIONAL MINDEDNESS. Both Dr. Cushner and Dr. Robertson continue to network with this newly forming academy of international scholars.
Dr. Robertson has also networked with IBO Schools within the United States. She presented a workshop based on her Global School Capability and Readiness Profile, in Bethesda, Maryland in May 2004 and Arlington, Virginia in April 2003.
July 18-21, 2002, Dr. Robertson also presented at the International Baccalaureate Organization-North America Annual Conference, at Victoria, British Columbia, again on the Global School Capability and Readiness Profile,
communication , with participants from Turkey, Syria, Libya, Yugoslavia, and Sudan, SanliUrfa, Turkey.
