Study Abroad Opportunities Include

  • International student teaching in English speaking schools around the world:    The COST (Consortium for Overseas Student Teaching) offers student teaching opportunities for Kent State education majors to student teach in 18 sites around the world. Scholarships are available for some sites.   Click on the button to the left find out more about COST opportunities. 
  • Each year the Foundations Program area in EHHS offers a unique opportunity to study in Ireland by taking the course, Schooling in a Democracy Society to Sneem, Dublin, and Galway. This study abroad opportunity for teacher educators is scheduled for Intersession (late May-early June) yearly.   
  • Inquire at CIIE for more information regarding study abroad opportunities for EHHS students at KSU's Florence Italy campus.  Higher Education and Educational Psychology are both offered at winter Intersession and May Intersession respectively. 
  • Opportunities for international internships are also available in a variety of areas.   
  • Going to the many semester abroad sites offered by KSU's Center for Comparative and International Programs. KSU programs in places like Ulster, Northern Ireland; Florence, Italy; or Geneva, Switzerland are offered to all Kent State undergraduate students.
  • The School of Exercise, Leisure and Sport offers two study abroad opportunities in Uganda at May Intersession (Globral Tourism and Outdoor Recreation.) Contact Dr. Andrew Lepp alepp1@kent.edu for more information.
