Center for International and Intercultural Education

Welcome International Scholars

Hosting Visiting Scholars

Under the auspices of the Read Chair, the Center for International and Intercultural Education (CIIE) at Kent State University regularly hosts visiting international scholars for stays lasting from a few days to a few years.  Fulbright scholars have consistently selected CIIE as either a short term or long term research/study site.  The US Department of State, the US Department of Education, IREX's Muskie Scholar Program, American Councils's Junior Faculty Development Program, and the African-America Institute have also asked the CIIE to host visiting educators from other nations. These visiting scholars have enriched the international understanding of the Kent State University community while benefiting from the rich research capability of an American research intensive university.
