Kent State East Liverpool Holds Nursing Pinning Ceremony

Pinning Ceremony Held for ADN Students

East Liverpool – Kent State University at East Liverpool held its annual nursing pinning ceremony May 6, during which 38 students were recognized for receiving degrees this year through the associate degree in nursing (ADN) program on the East Liverpool campus.

Dr. Christina Riter, academic program director for the ADN program, presented the 2015 class of graduates, while nursing faculty members presented the students’ pins. Special guests included Dr. Steve Nameth, dean of the Kent State East Liverpool Campus, and Linda Warino, executive director of the Ohio Nurses Association, District 3.

Warino served as the keynote speaker and also presented the ONA District 3 Lori Grenich Student Nurse Award to Justin Miller, recognizing excellence in clinical nursing and professional awareness.

The student nurses made a special presentation of $500, earmarked for the ADN program on the East Liverpool Campus.

The Kent State East Liverpool ADN class of 2015 includes Kristin Baer, Jessica Barach, Lisa Baxter, Kelly Beck, Krystina Boano, Darrell Cleland, Jessica Clutter, Casey Coie, Kathleen Evans, Ashley Fraser, Diana Grimm, Stacy Hawkins, Elaine Holecko, Matthew Jaskowak, Lorrie Ketchum, Megan Mayfield, Joshua McGaffic, Syzy Merryman, Justin Miller, Kristina Neapolitan, Yvonne Nelson, Falquiria Newlun, Lexa Noble, Joseph Nolker, Melissa Phillips, Jacqueline Poteet, Charles Reynolds, Natalie Saad, LeAnna Simmons, Erin Sobek, Sharlene Thomas, Amber Thompson, Jessica Thompson, Tawania Triplett, Jacqueline VanDyne, Tracy Vorshak, Kimberly Weible and Ethan Warner.
